But can you imagine the rubberhose toons with some marvel edge, though? I still think they could make a cool crossover. Or to draw the marvel heroes as disney anthros, but not in a cuddly way? The possibilities are endless. *starts doodling...*
I've never been a fan of Marvel comics, and I'm one of the few people on DA who doesn't consider Disney a "great evil," so I honestlly don't care really. (Besides, people forget how "dark" the Pirates movies, Nightmare Before Christmas, and such were that Disney has made. I honestlly doubt we'll have to worry about seeing Iron Man singing on a rooftop anytime soon.)
I am quite amused at all the nerdy whining it's generated though.
I only have two thoughts:... Time Warner already has DC, so it's sort of balanced. This pretty much puts the knife in Spectacular Spider-Man.. because Disney hates Greg Weisman.. or anything intelligently written.
It kinda reminds me of Mortal Kombat vs DC, though, and how weird that felt.. after years of Marvel vs Capcom.. and my immediate thought that those two REALLY need to switch.
I doubt they'll change anything, but it's still such a huge mismatch. Apparently they wanted to attract a larger male demographic (who would've guessed that guys don't go for Hannah Montana the movie) and what do males like? Superheroes! Smart move on Disney's part, though, considering what a cash cow Marvel is. But still, if I hear Spider-Man singing "Getcha head in the game" I'm gonna kill myself.
