Hey All!
Mel, my beautiful girlfriend, has gotten a new job in Vancouver. She starts in January. We do not live in Vancouver, we live in Ottawa. That is the OPPOSITE end of Canada.
On top of that, we are planning on GETTING MARRIED! Being an American Citizen marrying a Canadian Citizien, there's legal papers to sign. Coupled with moving our belongings across the continent, and first and last month's rent when we get to Vancouver, we're looking at $5,000 - $7,000.
So I'm opening up commissions to do my share (being unemployed in a foreign country) of funding for the trip. Our deadline to move is Christmas, so I'll be doing what I can until then.

Congratulations my friend! I am currently unable to send you any moneys, sad to say. But if your travels take you along I-70, and through Kansas, I have a place that you could crash at for a night if needed.
I have done the coast to coast drive before, and I can understand just how mentally and financially taxing it can be. I wouldn't have made it without the help of some friends that lived along the way.
